Unchecked and Running Wild

The Unforgiving Spirit.

Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Unforgiveness is a spirit. There are dire consequences for allowing that spirit to have free course in your life. 1) Unforgiveness left unchecked turns into bitterness and causes sickness and disease. There was this woman who after many years began to talk to her husband about a wrong done to her. While they were eating dinner, toxic acid spewed out of her nose and mouth at the same time. She thought she had forgiven the person, but Holy Spirit told her that she was harboring unforgiveness which had grown into bitterness. 2) Unforgiveness stops your heavenly Father from forgiving your trespasses. 3) Unforgiveness stops your heavenly Father from answering your prayers. Evil spirits just like Holy Spirit operate through people. When you are wronged, recognize the spirit in operation. Forgive and pray for the person. Then, let it go and thank God for discernment and the opportunity to grow in Christ Jesus. Holy Spirit, your Helper, will help you to forgive and to keep moving forward.

Prayer for today: Father, YOU said, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (I John 1:9) Father, I ask you to forgive me for harboring unforgiveness. In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept his grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
