It Depends On Faith

faith2Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:.

As we live, we put notches on our belts of worldly accomplishments attained, great and small. As good as they were they are absolutely worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus as Lord. Paul said if anyone could boast about accomplishments, he certainly could. When he assessed the things he had accomplished, he called them skubalon (skoo’-bal-on), that which is thrown to the dogs – dung. He realized that he could not accomplish enough or be good enough or righteousness enough by obeying the law. We, like Paul, must come to the realization that righteousness comes from God alone through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own efforts. Faith in Christ ignites the power of Holy Spirit to reestablish our spiritual fellowship with God. When we stop trying to be and let faith take over, the process of knowing Christ intimately, experiencing the awesome power that raised Him from the dead and living life as one who has been made alive again, begins. It all depends on our faith.

Prayer for today: Father, according to Philippians 4:11, I ask for help to attain to the spiritual and moral resurrection that lifts me out from among the dead even while I’m present in this body. In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
