On the Outside Looking In

Outside-looking-inII Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

The gospel can be summed up in one verse: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. According to Matthew Henry’s Commentary, “The rejection of the gospel is here traced to the willful blindness and wickedness of the human heart”.  The gospel of Jesus Christ is clear. He is part of the God-head (Deity). He gave His life as a ransom for the sin of mankind. He died, rose again and conquered sin and death. He is alive and seated with Father God on His throne. The advent of Jesus Christ into the earthly realm tore the veil from the top to the bottom.  Howbeit, some have refused Jesus and chosen to remain behind the veil on the outside looking in. In so doing, they are lost. In the Old Testament, the veil covered the Holy of Holies. Renting of the veil in the New Testament was to unveil the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ and to dispel the darkness that previously existed by sin. Now, therefore, none should be lost and perish but all should come unto the saving knowledge of God through Jesus Christ. Therefore, it can be concluded that if our gospel is hid, it is hid to them that are lost. Receive the gospel, receive Jesus Christ and be saved.

Prayer for today: Father, thank for loving me and tearing the veil so that the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ could shine in my heart. In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
