This is What I Will Do

To-do-coverII Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

King Solomon prayed and asked two things of God: 1) he asked God to remember the covenant He made with David, his father, and 2) he asked God, if he or the people sinned against Him (for there is no man that does not sin) and return to Him, confess His Name, pray and make supplication, would He hear them, forgive them, and render to them according to their ways? God appeared to King Solomon and told him that he had heard his prayer and if they would meet the conditions He had set forth, he would indeed answer their prayer favorably. Born again believers are his chosen people, his precious possessions, a royal priesthood unto Him with all covenant rights. The Spirit of adoption has made us joint heirs to the throne of God through Jesus Christ. In some cultures, an adopted son is highly favored above a natural son because you are able to choose the son you want and God chose you. As a child chosen by God, when you meet the conditions: 1) to be humble, 2) to pray, 3) to seek God, and 4) to turn away from wickedness (sinful ways), God will hear, forgive and heal whatever plagues you. This is what God does for his people.

Prayer for today: LORD, I give you praise, honor, and glory. Thank you for choosing me and acknowledging me as your very own. Help me, I pray, to meet the conditions you have set forth to hear me when I pray, forgive me when I have sinned against You, and heal my concerns. In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
