Let Joy and Peace Rest on You

Joy and Peace woman-yello-grass-happy-850x400Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

For the Christian, hope is the joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation. When can you have this hope? According to the scripture, you can have this hope right now. Hope is a present continuative. Isaiah spoke of the coming of the Root of Jesse, which is Jesus Christ. Jesus was to come to rule over the Gentiles and in Him the Gentiles would have hope. I am happy to announce that Jesus Christ has come and hope is here for the taking. Jesus, the Word, was made flesh and lives among us. He came to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, and to announce the year of the LORD’s favor. The believer experiences the LORD’s favor every day, every month, and every year. Jeremiah’s testimony is “The LORD’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. ‘The LORD is my portion,’ says my soul, Therefore I have hope in Him.” Again I ask, “When can you have this hope? The answer is always right now if you confess with your mouth Jesus as your Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. It is with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. The by-product of hope is joy unspeakable and peace that passes all understanding. May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Trust the God of Hope, receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour and LORD, and be filled to the overflow with all blessings He has promised.
