Acceptance is Key, Part 2

Key 8404_fit512

I Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

There are four things that you must be fully persuaded of concerning Christ: 2.) You must be persuaded that living a Christ-like, godly lifestyle is profitable for you. II Peter 1:2 says, “By His Divine power, you have been given everything pertaining to life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness”. You have the Divine power living on the inside of you for godly living. Paul compared bodily exercise to godly exercise. He said, “… discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance. For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers”. (I Timothy 4:7-10) Fix your hope on the living God and exercise godliness for the purpose of living a lifestyle that will access the promises. Who wants to wait to receive what God has already promised? If “I don’t” was your answer, then lay hold of the promises now by faith, for we understand that they belong to you, the believer, in the life, to come. Like praying without ceasing (continually) is profitable, so is living a godly lifestyle without ceasing is profitable. Accept this saying, God’s power and grace along with your knowledge of and faith in Christ gives you entrance into the storehouse of promises. What do you need: healing, finances, protection, deliverance, a crown of righteousness, forgiveness, justification, sanctification, etc.? It’s all in the promises of God. In order to claim the promises, you must know what they are and take hold of them. Where there is no knowledge of Him and the promises, the promises go unclaimed. The third thing that you must be fully persuaded of concerning Christ is to be continued.

Prayer for today: Father, I accept by faith that you have given me everything I need to live a lifestyle that is pleasing to you. I am persuaded that I can do all things through Christ, who gives me a daily supply of strength and encouragement.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
