Prayer of Forgiveness and Deliverance From Desolation, Part IV

black-married-couple-prayingDaniel 9:19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

(Prayer continued from Part III:  Daniel 9:12-17) Our only hope is to appeal to God’s all-encompassing and everlasting love for us. I continue to pray as Daniel prayed: 18 “‘Turn your ears our way, God, and listen. Open your eyes and take a long look at our ruined city, this city named after you. We know that we don’t deserve a hearing from you. Our appeal is to your compassion. This prayer is our last and only hope:  19 “‘Master, listen to us!  Master, forgive us!  Master, look at us and do something!  Master, don’t put us off!  Your city and your people are named after you:  You have a stake in us!’” Rebellion on any level makes the heart wax cold toward God.  Obedience minus rebellion warms the heart and makes one a willing servant of God.  The time has come for us to do what we have asked our heavenly Father to do: 1.) Listen to Him. Holy Spirit is always talking and instructing us according to God’s word.  2.) Have a forgiving heart toward others as well as ourselves. Often times forgiving ourselves is the most difficult, but God forgives us the moment we ask; so, we to must forgive ourselves.  3.) Examine ourselves and do something about what is revealed to us.  4.) Don’t put God off.  Immediately do what He tells you to do.  5.) You have a stake in this.  Your quality of life here and throughout all eternity depends upon it.  God has given us who believe the authority and power to turn this nation of people back to God through fervent prayer.  Let’s pray.

Prayer for today:  Father, I ask for a revival to take place in this nation and in our hearts.  Turn our hearts back to you.  Father, we appeal to your love.  You are our only hope.  Act out of who you are, not out of what we are as a nation of peoples.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
