Making Joy

joyI listened to a beautiful rendition of the song “Mary Did You Know”. As I listened, I wondered how many parents truly knew or know what their babies will grow up to be and do. Godly parents want their children to be about their Father God’s business in whatever their chosen vocation. Did Mary know specifically? I don’t know, but Mary’s baby boy grew up to walk on water, to save our sons and daughters, to deliver us, to give sight to the blind, to calm a storm, to cause the deaf to hear, the dumb to speak and the lame to walk, to make the dead to live again, and to rule the nation. Mary’s baby boy gave us peace, love, hope and joy. No one knows with absolute certainty what their children will grow up to be and do. But parents’ responsibility is to train up a child in the way he should go. Proverbs tell us that the father of a wise godly child has great joy and a foolish child brings grief to his mother. We are God’s children and He knows with certainty that He has given us the ability through the power of Holy Spirit to bring Him joy. What will you do today to make your Father rejoice?

Prayer for today: Father I purpose to bring you joy this day. In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
