Need a Victory?

I Samuel 23:4 Then David inquired of the LORD yet again. And the LORD answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into thine hand.

When the LORD tells you to go, go.  David asked the LORD if he should go and fight the Philistines who were fighting against Keilah.  The LORD said, Go and smite the Philistines and save Keilah.  His men, however, were afraid because they were few in numbers compared to the Philistines.  For the sake of the men, David asked the LORD again.  The LORD said, “Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into thine hand”.  Deliverance is a part of your salvation package.  God promised it.  But refusing to go when the LORD tells you to go and do what He tells you to do deactivates His promise in your life.  If you truly want victory, be obedient to the voice of the LORD.  So David and his men went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines and walked away with the victory for the LORD was with them as He will be with you.

Prayer for today:  Father, according to your word, I shall go in the name of the LORD for I am confident in Your promise of deliverance and victory.  “Victory today is mine!”  AMEN.
