Never Could Have Made It – “Thou Art Great”

2 Samuel 7-22 18162742581_4ffc6183d7
II Samuel 7:22 Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

Pausing to reflect upon the goodness of God, the sovereign LORD, will turn into a personal experience.  There is this song that say, “Count your many blessings and see what God has done”.  Literally, the counting is impossible.  David reflected and came away with adoration and praise in his heart for the ONE true God.  He declared that the LORD God is great, that there is no God like Him and no God other than Him.  What god can do, what your God can and will do for you?  Certainly not the “job god” or any other man-made god.  God loved you so much that He sent his Son to personally buy you back from sin and death and give you eternal life. He assigned an angel to keep you in all your ways.  He gave you a benefits package that the “job god” could not give you.  Instead of counting, acknowledge that the LORD God is Great.  Let your reflection break out in worship and praise for your awesome g-r-e-a-t-God.

Scripture Reference: John 3:16; Psalms 91:11; Psalms 103:1-19; Romans 5:8

Prayer for today:  Father, I acknowledge that I could not have made it without You.  Thank you for loving me, blessing me and allowing me to cast all my cares upon You.  In JESUS’ name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
