The Peace of Knowing

Gerbil frostbite wheelPsalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

There is a reason that you are commanded to be still.  It is so easy to get caught up in the rigorous pursuit of daily living, that one can miss eternal life.  Like a gerbil on a wheel, it is easy to run fast in a perpetual circle, going nowhere, making plans, and plotting courses, which do not lead to eternal salvation.  As a result, one becomes overwhelmed, frustrated, anxious and fatigue. In your stillness, God will reveal himself as your peace.  He is your refuge and your strength in spiritual warfare, peace.  He is present with you at all times, peace.  He is your all powerful source in every situation, peace.  He is wisdom, who knows all things and has given you everything you need for living a godly life through knowing Him, peace.   He has made the plans and charted your course, peace.  He simply asks these three things of you:  1.) Be still so that you can hear His voice.  2.) Recognize who He is and what He has done.  3.) Exalt Him, which is to raise Him up and set Him on the throne of your life.  Be still, know that He is God and experience His peace.

Prayer for today:  Father, you promised to keep me in perfect peace as my mind is continually focused on you.  I acknowledge that you are God and I magnify your Holy name.  In JESUS’s name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
