Choosing to be Teachable

Psalms 119verse-66After trying to do things on his own and missing the mark, David realized that he needed help.  He cried out to the LORD to teach him two things:  1) to have good judgment (understanding, discretion, behavior) and 2) to have good knowledge, which is the Hebrew word da’ath meaning good awareness.    God has already promised to instruct and teach you concerning the way you should go and to counsel and watch over you as you go.  Unlike David, many will not ask for His help.  Pride is the sin that hinders a person from asking God to help him and God will not help if he does not ask Him.  God gave everyone freedom of choice and He respects your right to choose right or wrong, help or hindrance, faith or disbelief, forgiveness or restoration, heaven or hell.  David chose to trust in God and His instructions.  He chose to be teachable.  What will you choose?  A teachable spirit is the delight of our Father.
