Let Him Take Over

2-corinthians-12_9

When I am weak, I am strong.  The world calls this an oxymoron.  But not Paul, for he was introduced to the secret of becoming strong even in the midst of his weakness.  That is to just let Christ take over.  After receiving amazing and wonderful revelations from God, Paul was given a thorn in his flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment him so that he would not think more highly of himself than he ought.  As God reveals himself to us through the Bible, His word, visions, dreams and any number of ways, like Paul we are to recognize that whether the attack is in the flesh (body) or the cares of this world, or the deceitfulness of riches, or the lusts of other things entering in to choke the word planted in us so that we may become unfruitful and our life’s testimony weakened, just remember to step back and let Christ take over.  His grace (benefit, advantage, help) is all we need.  His power is strongest when we are weak.  Therefore, we can confidently say, “When I am weak, I am strong”.

Scripture References:   II Corinthians 12:3,6-10; Mark 4:19

Prayer for today:  Father, I surrender all and willingly step aside to let Christ take over.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
