A Happy and Blessed Mother

Luke 1:46-48 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers!  While we celebrate Mother’s Day, Mary the mother of Jesus celebrated God for the great things he had done for her.  She regarded herself as lowly, but God held her in high esteem as His prized possession and blessed her because she believed.  The LORD promised her that there would be a performance of those things, which were told to her.  Mary praised the LORD and her spirit was filled with joy.  The LORD has also promised you and me great things in His word.  He is calling all mothers to magnify Him and to rejoice in God our Saviour.  In so doing, our generations of children will call us blessed of the LORD.  This is how I want to be remembered on this and every Mother’s Day, how about you?

Prayer for today:  Father, today as I remember my mother I can truly say that she was blessed by You.  As I continually magnify You and rejoice in your holy name, may my generations of children call me blessed.   In JESUS’ name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.
