Child-like Faith

Mark11-24After leaving church one Sunday, I mentioned that I had a headache.  My granddaughter slapped her hand against my forehead and said with a loud voice, “Be healed in Jesus name.”  In Children’s Church, she learned that Jesus laid his hands on the sick and they recovered and that she could do the same thing because being saved includes healing of every kind.  Mark 11:24 was presented to her at the level in which she could understand.  The children’s version is “Mark 11:24, you can have what you say.” The older people become, the vicissitudes of life tend to make them jaded.  They adopt the world’s philosophy that “I will believe it when I see it”, which is just the opposite of what the word of God teachers.  God desires that we come to him with “Child-like Faith”.  Child-like faith says all things are possible if you believe according to God’s word.  Child-like faith takes the position that when you pray, believe that you have already received it, then it will be yours.  Her desire was that her grandmother “be healed”.  Therefore, her expectation was that my headache would go away instantly.  There are times when what you ask for happens suddenly and other times you must wait.  Should you have to wait, occupy your time doing the following:  1) Pray according to God’s will; 2) Have faith in God; 3) Forgive everyone you have something against; and, 4) Act like you have what you have asked for by rejoicing in the LORD. Everyone who has received Christ as his personal Savior and LORD, without exception, is promised everything he asks for in prayer in accordance with his faith and the will of God and provided he qualifies to have what he has asked for.

Prayer for today:  Father, forgive me for becoming jaded and filled with unbelief.  Help me to always approach you with “Child-life Faith” for I know that all things are possible to them that believe.  In JESUS name, AMEN

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
