On January 13, 2013, I was awakened out of my sleep by God.
He said, “Write a letter to Davey” our oldest son. I immediately got out of bed, went into my office and began to type the things God was telling me to write. The next morning, I was awakened again, God said, “Write this to Davey.” For the next couple of weeks this routine continued, the LORD waking me up and telling me to write. During the latter part of the second week, I included my youngest son, daughter, and son-in-law and emailed the letters to them as well. I decided to write to them Monday through Friday, taking the weekends off. My son-in-law, who is a disabled former policeman said to me, “Mom you should be writing every day, especially on weekends because that is when people get into trouble and need it the most.” I prayed about it and the LORD confirmed that was what I was to do. My youngest son opened a Facebook account for me and now My Morning Boost is a “…Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear”, (Mark 4:9 NIV) ministry tool.
I asked God, “What shall I call this?” and He said, “Morning Boost”. I am not a coffee drinker, but I invite you to join us each morning for a cup of java and the word of God to get your day started. What started in my estimation was a simple letter to my son has turned into an email, blog and Facebook posting. This is “My Morning Boost”. You will notice that there is a tag at the end of each of these writing, which say, “Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make is a sweatless day. ” and signed by me with love. This tag is God’s gift to me and I share it as an encouragement to my children. All who read these postings are my children and my love is extended to you!
