The Secret Chamber

Matthew 6:6  But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Your prayer closet is not necessary a physical place, but it can be.  It is that private chamber where you meet God for a personal visit.  A temple is like unto a house with many chambers, many rooms with many doors.  The child of God is the temple of the Holy Spirit, which was given by God.  Therefore, you can enter into your chamber and shut the door behind you where there are no interruptions by outside forces.  For example, you can be in a crowd of people and enter into the room of your heart and spirit and pray to your heavenly Father.  In that secret chamber, it’s just you and God. When you pray in private, seeking God’s face, He will bless you so that everyone can see the results of your time spent with Him.  Hallelujah!

Prayer for today:  Father God I have come to spend time with you in my prayer closet.  I love you LORD and I just want to be near you.  You are my heart’s desire.  I offer you a sacrifice of praise.  In JESUS name, AMEN.
