Sun or Son

John’s 11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

Unlike the sun, which gives light for 12 hours a day, the Son of God gives light 24 hours a day.   The disciples were concerned that Jesus’ return to Judea would mean death for Him.  Though your adversary Satan tries to cause death in every area of your life, as well as eternal death, the Son of God will shine light upon your adversary’s tactics.  Jesus is the light of the world.  Anyone who consistently walks with the Son will not stumble and fall.  His light goes before you to give you zōē, the God-kind of life.  Therefore, Holy Spirit will give you spiritual discernment to help you to see the spirit that tries to work against you.  Holy Spirit will help you walk in the light as Jesus is in the light so that darkness will not overtake you.

Trust the Son to be your source of light. Scripture References:  John 11:7-10; John 10:10; Ephesians 5:8; I John 1:7 Prayer for today:  Father, I was sometimes darkness, but now I am light in the LORD.  I ask you to help me to continually walk as a child of light.  In JESUS name, AMEN.
