Slippers Slopes Averted

slippery_slope_Psalms 37:31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

At the root of steps that go astray is temptation. Understanding the pull of temptation, and the  power of God to order his steps so that he could resist the slippery slopes of sin, David prayed. He said, “With my whole heart have I sought You, inquiring for and of You and yearning for You; Oh, let me not wander or step aside [either in ignorance or willfully] from Your commandments. 11 Your word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against You. 12 Blessed are You, O Lord; teach me Your statutes”. (Psalms 119:10-12 AMP). It is God’s word that shines a light on your path and provides order where it has been compromised by sin. Having God’s Word hidden in your heart empowers Holy Spirit to rise up on the inside of you. He will remind you of the steps necessary to avert the slippery slopes of sin that lie ahead of you.

Prayer for today: Father, I have hidden and continue to hide Your law in my heart. Remind me by the power of Holy Spirit to resist the temptation to allow my feet to slip, ignorantly or willfully. In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
