Cleansed, Separated, and Declared Not Guilty!

JumpingI Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

As a reminder of how far the soul (mind, will, and emotions) of man had drifted away from God, a list of sins that previously kept men/women from inheriting the kingdom of God has been compiled.  Though at one time we may have been identified as unrighteousness, deceived, fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, effeminates, guilty of unimaginable unnatural offenses, thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers, or even extortioners, the good news is that God is still willing to forgive all of our past sins.  Thanks be to God, there are three things listed in this scripture that can save our souls and position us to inherit the kingdom of God.  1.) Washed.  Being completely cleansed of all sins listed above.  The believer will have no residue left behind when he ask for forgiveness and willingly submit and commit to allowing the power of Holy Spirit to wash us. 2.) Sanctify. God is willing and able to consecrate and make us holy before Him.  He will sanctify us, which means to separate us from sin unto Himself.  3.) Justified.  Justification is the final step to inheriting the kingdom.  After God has washed and separated the believer from sin, He declares him “not guilty” and cleared of all previous sins!  The blood of Jesus is the cleansing agent, which washes away our sins.  Sanctification makes us not guilty.  Justification declares us not guilty.   Now, according to First Corinthians 6:11, we are washed; we are sanctified; we are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God!

Prayer for today:  Father, forgive me for all my sins, known and unknown.  Wash, sanctify, and justify me so that I may inherit your kingdom.  It is in the name of JESUS and by the power of Holy Spirit that I pray.  AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
