Good + You = Benefit
Luke 10:33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
There was this man, who had been robbed, beaten up, thrown into the ditch beside the road and left for dead. A man saw him lying there from afar off. He crossed over to the other side of the road and passed by Him. Another man saw him lying in the ditch and did the same thing as the first. They didn’t want to get involved. Besides that, reaching their destination was more important than helping someone in need. In an effort to test Jesus, a certain lawyer asked Him, “Who is my neighbor?” Jesus answered him with the Parable of the Good Samaritan. One of the many definitions of the word good is to be a benefit. Where the others refused to help or simply could not help, the Samaritan had compassion on the man in the ditch. He stopped, bound up the man’s wounds and paid for his continued care. Jesus is our example of the Good Samaritan. He is good, which means He is a benefit to all who know and receive Him. Jesus came to comfort and to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim the good and beneficial news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to set those, who are in bondage to sin free. He paid the ransom for our sin. Yes, Jesus Christ is a benefit. Your neighbor is anyone who needs help. Jesus declared that when you have helped others you have helped Him. Good plus you equal benefit. Are you a benefit to others everywhere you go and especially to those in need?

Prayer for today: Father, in the name of JESUS, I declare that I am good, and I am very good. By the power of Holy Spirit, who dwells in me, I am a benefit everywhere I go and to everyone I come in contact with. AMEN.
Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.
Love
Dianne
