How to Get the Desired Results

LWaitinguke 11:5 So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Persistent faith and persistent prayers get results.  To demonstrate this, Jesus told His disciples a parable.  A man went to his friend’s house at midnight to get three loaves of bread.  He said that a friend of his stopped by on his journey and he had nothing to set before him.  The friend told him not to bother him because he and his family were in bed, but the man was shamelessly persistent.  Though his friend did not get out of bed because of their friendship, he did get out of bed because of his friend’s boldness and his shameless persistence in faith.  This man was not ashamed to go and ask his friend for what he needed.  This man was built up in faith.  This man was prepared to get the expected results before he got to his friend’s house.  How much more should we be prepared and have great expectations when we approach the throne of grace to ask our Heavenly Father for what we need or desire.   Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”.  The point is clear; we should not be ashamed or embarrassed to boldly ask for what we desire in faith.  Physical bread is needed for the flesh, but spiritual bread is needed to satisfy the sum total of a man, his spirit, soul, and body.   If allowed, trouble can keep you from the bread of life.   Jesus Christ is the bread of life.  He said, “For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened”.  Ask for what you want according to the will of God.  Be shamelessly persistent in faith and shamelessly persistent in prayer to get results.

Prayer for today:  Father, according to II Corinthians 9:8 NLT, I ask for a generous supply of everything that I need so that I may always have plenty left over to share with others.   In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
