Give Thanks and Receive!

football-player-catchingI Thessalonians 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

(Continuation from the title: “There is Nothing God Can’t Handle!”) Paul continued with number 18 of the 22 commands and admonitions to the brethren at Thessalonica.  18.) Give thanks always in all things.  This is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.  You can always find a reason to be thankful, even in the direst situations.  Prayer is a trust issue and thanksgiving is an immediate response to your prayer.  In other words, when you pray the will of God, which is His word, you must be completely convinced that God heard you and that you have what you asked for at the time of your prayer.  Afterwards, you thank God because He watches over His word to fulfill it.   You thank Him because you are convinced that He has already done what you asked.  But some will say, I don’t have it or I don’t see it.  First Thessalonians 5:14 says to support the weak.  Remind them that God is faithful to His word.  Encourage them to visualize themselves having what they asked for.   Before a football player makes his first tackle or run to gain yards or catches the football, he has already seen himself doing it.  You must see yourself receiving what you asked for in the realm of the spirit and then give God thanks for it before you take possession of it. All there is left to do is to receive it.

Prayer for today:  Father, thank you for all that you have done for me and for that which I shall take possession of in the future.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
