Being Led to Calm Waters

Sheep Pasture Water 54-6Psalms 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

I am often led to the reservoir of water nearby to partake of its restful and calming properties.  There, I find rest, peace, the presence of the LORD and a place of worship.  There, I am always reminded that the LORD, He is God, the good Shepherd, the Chief Shepherd and that we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.  The Psalmist acknowledged, as do I, that the LORD is our personal Shepherd.  As such, the Shepherd recognizes when His sheep need to lie down, rest, be refreshment and have their peaceful state of mind restored.  So, the LORD leads rather than drives the sheep little by little to a resting and nourishing place where there are calming waters for refreshment.  Because the LORD is your Shepherd you shall not want for any good thing for He has supplied all that you need.  Trust Him.  He is provider, protector, restorer and so much more for His sheep.  Allow the LORD to lead you.

Prayer for today:  Father God, you always know just what I need.  Thank you for leading me beside  calm and peaceful waters.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
