Character Attack – Strike It Down

My-Father-Essay3Proverbs 27:11My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if the LORD pointed to you and said, “Now this is how a child of mine should conduct his life?  Follow his (her) example because he is following Me”.  To experience this glorious appointment from God, He commands you to do two things: 1.) Be wise.  Wisdom comes from God alone.  Fortunately for the believer, He has already planned a way for us to attain wisdom.  The plan is so simple that many will miss it.  All we need do is to ask Him for wisdom.   Don’t even consider giving time to trying to figure things out.  Trust the LORD in everything and He will guide you along the path you should go.  2.) Make His heart glad.  For the believer, it is not an arduous, laborious task to make the LORD glad.  The tag God gave me to closeout every message is Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.”  God’s grace for the believer is demonstrated by the power of Holy Spirit.  God sent Holy Spirit as a replacement for Jesus Christ to live inside of those who will receive Him and trust Him.  So, when your life is under a microscope, will the LORD need to defend you? Or, will the LORD be able to give you a resounding “at-a-boy” when the world tries to denounce, condemn, criticize, or even attack His character based on your lifestyle?  Your heavenly Father’s heart will be made glad as you operate in godly wisdom demonstrating to the world that you have been made right with Him. Exercise the power of Holy Spirit within you to be wise and to make the LORD’s heart glad.

Prayer for today:  Father, you are the God of all wisdom.  I ask for wisdom to live according to your word and to make your heart glad at all times.  Let my life be used as a weapon to strike down every attack on your character.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.
