What Happens When There is Little or No Knowledge? Part 3

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

We have observed that lack and rejection of the knowledge of God by Israel led to their destruction and being cut off from the blessings of God. Next, we will look at the third thing that happened as a result of Israel’s choices. 3.) They went into captivity. God said, “Their banquets are accompanied by lyre and harp, by tambourine and flute, and by wine; But they do not pay attention to the deeds of the LORD, Nor do they consider the work of His hands. Therefore My people go into exile for their lack of knowledge; …” (Isaiah 5:12-13 NASB). Such is the condition of the world today. While the world is busy having ungodly fun, Satan is leading it into captivity: captivity of the spirit, soul (mind, will, and emotions) and body. Satan is after any resemblance of the word of God that may have been planted in the heart of man, lest it grows deep roots and become productive in the kingdom of God. Therefore, the spirit of man has become void of the knowledge of God, which has led to the rejection of Him. The mind of man has become void of the mind of Christ, whereby fear, worry, doubt and death have been perpetrated upon it. Satan, the god of this world has captured the world and led it into slavery. But you beloved are not of this world. You live in this world; but you are not of this world. Jesus came to set the captivities free. No longer do you have to fear or worry for God has not given you the spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound mind. Nor do you have to die spiritually for God has given you eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Trusting in Jesus will make you free and in Him, you are free indeed. Choose wisely; choose to know God personally and intimately; allow Jesus to lead you out of captivity. Tomorrow we will look at the fourth consequence of lack and the rejection of the knowledge of God.

Prayer for today: Father, as I hide your word in my heart, increase my knowledge of you. Thank you for the freedom I have in Christ Jesus. In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.
