How to Get the Desired Results, Part 2

ExpectResults2-640x415Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

2.)  Expect Results.  As in verse 5, Jesus repeats himself to drive home the point that you are to ask, seek, and knock.  Ask means to call for; Seek in Hebrew means to worship God and in the Greek it means to put a strict demand on something that is due; and Knock literally means to beat on the door to gain entrance.  The man with the need for bread to feed a friend, who had stopped by on his journey, kept on asking for help.  Luke 11:10 in the Amplified Bible tells us to keep on asking, which means to keep on putting faith behind what you have already asked for; to keep on seeking, which means to keep on finding scriptures to build your faith concerning what God has in the storehouse for you; and to keep on knocking, which means to put actions behind your faith.  Don’t get discouraged.  Suddenlies are sometimes manifested at the very instant you ask.  Other times, you have to stand in faith until you see the manifestation.  But faith is the bold confidence to know that at the point you asked God for something according to His word, it happens immediately in the spirit.   Refuse to be double-minded.  A double-minded man should not expect to receive anything from the LORD.  Just continue to stand in faith and praise God with thanksgiving until you see it.  Understand this beloved, you must show up at the door of the throne room in order to knock on the door.  Hebrews 4:16 say, “Let us go boldly to the throne of Grace to obtain mercy and to find grace to help in the time of need.”   A clean heart and a right spirit will enable you to call for, put a strict demand on something that is due you according to the word of God and beat on the door to gain entrance without shame or being embarrassed about your past so that you may be able to get what you want.   The command is to ask, seek, and knock.  The promises are you will receive, find, and open the door to your desired blessings.  Be persistent in faith, persistent in prayer, and expect to get your desired results.

Prayer for today:  Father, I bind the spirit of double-mindedness.  I stand in faith asking, seeking, and knocking to receive, find, and open doors that have previously been closed to me by my own disobedience.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
