How to Get the Desired Results, Part 3

Begging please___businessMatthew 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

3.) Don’t beg God.  That is to say don’t ask God the same thing in the same way over and over again.  To do so is to open the door to doubt and unbelief, which implies that you do not believe that God heard you or that He is unwilling to do what you have asked.  A woman had a daughter who was vexed with a devil.   She cried to the LORD and said “Have mercy on me”.  This woman cried, but not with wet tears.  She cried the cry of faith.  She was loud, screaming and shrieking like a bird.  The sound was piercing to the ear and an embarrassment to the disciples.   When Jesus did not answer her, the disciples suggested that He send her away.  When Jesus finally answered her, He said, “I was sent to help the Jews—the lost sheep of Israel—not the Gentiles.”  When she heard this, she began to worship God.  Being shamelessly persistent, and strong in faith, this time she said, “Lord help me” putting a demand on the power that was resident in Him.  Jesus replied, “It is not right to take the children’s [Israel’s] bread and toss it to the dogs.”  Not willing to take no for an answer, she said, “Yes it is, LORD”, … “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” The shameless persistence of a faith-led person replaces fear and shame with boldness.  She really doesn’t care what people say – even when being accused of crying too loud, or overdoing it, or being excessive, or even an extremist.  I have heard people say, “It doesn’t take all of that.”  Well, depending on how severe the matter is to you, it may take all that and more.  Don’t beg God, instead worship God; ask in faith; thank God, and expect results.  Jesus was so impressed by the woman’s faith that he commended her.  He said, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment. Be shamelessly persistent in faith, prayer, and in worship.  She got her desired results and you can do the same.
