How to Get the Desired Results, Part 6

6.) Be Willing to Wrestle with God to get the desired results.  Yes, you can wrestle with God.  No, God won’t kill you for wrestling with Him.  In truth, God loves a good sparring match.  Genesis 32:25 says “When the man saw that he would not win the match, he touched Jacob’s hip and wrenched it out of its socket. (NLT) 26 Then He said, Let Me go, for day is breaking”.  But [Jacob] said, I will not let You go unless You declare a blessing upon me.”  Jacob would not take no for an answer.  “27 [The Man] asked him, What is your name? And [in shock of realization, whispering] he said, Jacob [supplanter, schemer, trickster, swindler]!  28 And He said, Your name shall be called no more Jacob [supplanter], but Israel [contender with God]; for you have contended and have power with God and with men and have prevailed. 29 Then Jacob asked Him, Tell me, I pray You, what [in contrast] is Your name? But He said, Why is it that you ask My name? And [the Angel of God declared] a blessing on [Jacob] there.  30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel [the face of God], saying, For I have seen God face to face, and my life is spared and not snatched away.”(AMP)  We too must be shamelessly persistent in faith and shamelessly persistent in prayer and God will grant us the desires of our hearts as we align our prayers with His Word.  When you are persisted with God, when you spar in faith with Him, you too will have power with God and power with men.  Answers to your prayers may not come immediately.  It may require patience, determination and a willingness to wrestle with God to get the desired results, but hang in there.  You have God’s permission to wrestle with Him.  Jesus told His disciples that men ought to always pray and not faint, lose heart and give up.  Remember: 1.) Be shamelessly persistence in faith and in prayer. 2.) Expect Results. 3.) Don’t beg God. 4.)  Remind God of His word. 5.) Build up your faith.  6.) Be willing to Wrestle with God to get the desired results.

Prayer for today:  Father, I ask for the power of Holy Spirit to strength me so that I may not faint, lose heart and give up as I wrestle with you to get the desired results according to your word.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
