No Rubbing to Smell Good

Crystal-Perfume-Bottle-Pumpkin-OEM0501-Esther 2:12 Now when every maid’s turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)

Esther had to wait 12 months in order to be presented to King A-has-u-e-rus.  To prepare her to meet the king, six of those months were used to rub her body with the oil of myrrh, and the other six months with sweet perfumes.  No maiden could appear before the king unless she was soft and supple, smelt good and had been purified and beautified.  Thank God for Jesus, we do not have to wait 12 months to meet King Jesus.  His policy is come as you are, filthy rags, filthy smell and filthy sins.  Christ died for you and me while we were sinners; He will clean, purify, and beautify us to His standard.   Once you have said, I now take Jesus as my personal Saviour and LORD.  I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who died for me and rose again and is seated at the right hand of the Father, ever making intercessions for me.  According to His word, I am right now born again.  At that point, you appeared before the King.  He will begin the work of purification in you and will not stop until you have met His standard.  You are now and will continue to be the sweet, sweet perfume of Christ to God.

Prayer for today:  Father, Because of Jesus and my acceptance of Him, I am and will continue to be the sweet, sweet fragrance of Christ to You.   In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
