Wealthy in All Things

I Corinthians 1:5 That in every thing you are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

“Everything” has the same connotation as “all”.  Therefore, in all things you are made wealthy.  The “you” mentioned here is the church at Corinth, all who are sanctified in Christ, and all saints everywhere that call upon the name of our LORD Jesus Christ.  You, who are born again, fit into at least two of the three categories mentioned.  You have been given all spiritual gifts to be used as the Spirit wills.   There are nine gifts of the Spirit.  They are word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, divers kinds of tongues and interpretation of tongues.  Paul pays special attention to the gifts of utterance and knowledge.  It was through these two spiritual gifts that he confirmed the gospel of Jesus Christ in the church.  Utterance – supernaturally speaking various languages; Word of Knowledge – truths or actions that have already been revealed.   Fear of what others might say concerning these two gifts has stifled the maturation of the gospel.  You are God’s voice in the earth.  Step out in faith to utter God’s Divine expressions.  It is God’s Divine expression, not yours.  It is an interpretation, not a translation.  Allow the LORD your God to use your vocal cords to edify the body of Christ through His divine expressions.

Prayer for today:  Father, thank you for enriching me in all things as I hide your word in my heart.  In JESUS name, AMEN.
