Is Jesus Praying for You?

Out of love for everyone, God gave his Son to the world so that those who would believe in Him would not be lost and die, but instead have perpetual forever life.  But the world did not, nor do they currently know who Jesus is.  Therefore, they have not received Him as the Saviour of the world and LORD of all.  Jesus’ recorded prayer to the Father is for those who believe in Him.  He prayed, “I pray for them:  I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me: for they are mine …” Believers are highly favored by Jesus in that He would pray to the Father on our behalf.  He prayed that:   1.) believers would be kept from evil; 2.) we would be unified as believers as the Father and He are one; 3.) His joy might be fulfilled in us; 4.) we would be sanctified (set apart) for the work of God; 5.) the world would recognize how much God loves you and me; 6.) we would be with Him throughout all eternity; and 7.) we would see and experience His glory.  Jesus is our intercessor with the Father.  Believers have not been prayed for until Jesus, himself, prays for us.  For He knows just what to pray and He knows how to get a prayer through to the Father.  We know that He did not pray for the world, is Jesus praying for you?

Prayer for today:  Father, I am eternally grateful that Jesus is praying for me.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
