What Does a Wise Man Do?

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

There are four things that a wise man does:  1.) A wise man builds his life upon a solid foundation, which is Jesus Christ, the rock of salvation.  2.) A wise man asks God for wisdom.  Solomon asked God to give him wisdom and knowledge, so that he would be able to effectively lead the people God had given him to govern.  3.) A wise man listens intently to learn how to carry out the plan.  James tells us to be quick to listen and slow to speak.  4.) A wise man submits to the perfect will of God and allows Him to order his steps for total and complete victory.  Wisdom and victory are God’s plans for you in every aspect of your life.  When you hear and do what the LORD says, no calamity can topple your life.
