Where Are Your Accusers?

Pointing the finger to accuseJohn 8:10 Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

At some point in your life you will be accused to something: guilty or not. Rarely will you be accused of doing good deeds, most often that something is not good. There was a certain woman caught in the act of adultery. Teachers of the law and the Pharisees took her to Jesus and asked Him what He had to say about it? Their accusation was correct, but their motive was totally wrong. Every time you are accused does not necessarily mean that you are the primary target. In this case, the target was Jesus. They said that the Law of Moses commanded them to stone the women. Piercing their hearts, Jesus said, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” When you have missed God by doing something that does not please Him, ask Him for forgiveness and don’t fight your accusers. Instead, allow the Lord to speak for you for He is your legal counsel. Jesus did not come to condemn us. He came to save us and to set us free from sin. He said to the woman then and is saying to us now, “Go and sin no more.”
