The Purpose of Angels

Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Angels are not God, but they have a purpose in each of our lives.  The LORD is Jehovah Shammah, which means the LORD is there.  Another definition says the LORD will walk with you into whatever tomorrow holds because of His great love for you.   The Son of God, the LORD Jesus Christ, is greater than the angels.  He secured salvation and has been given a place of honor forever.  Angels have been given an important assigned as well.  According to Psalms 91, God orders His angels to protect, defend, guard and keep you wherever you go and in all your ways [of obedience and service].  Hebrews tell us that angels are ministering spirits sent to minister unto you, who shall become an heir of salvation.  To minister means to serve.  Your angel is waiting to serve you.  Have you given your angel an assignment today or is he sitting around gaining weight?  Your angel’s purpose is to serve you so that you may become an heir of eternal life through Christ Jesus.
