The Eve of a New Year

happy-new-year-graphics-09Daniel 2:23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter.

Give thanks for the things that God has brought you through this year: dangers seen and unseen.  I am reminded of Daniel and how his heavenly Father brought him through. King Nebuchadnezzar had reoccurring dreams that troubled him.  The king’s wise men could not interpret them. So, he ordered the execution of all of the wise men including Daniel and his friends.  Daniel and his friends prayed.  That night, God revealed the mystery of the king’s dreams to Daniel in a vision.  All life was spared.  Let us do as Daniel did.  He praised God for His wisdom and power.  He acknowledged that it was God, who gives wisdom and discernment to the wise and reveals deep and hidden things to his children.   Because of the LORD’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  On the eve of a new year, pause and think about the things God has brought you through and give Him praise and give Him thanks.

Prayer for today:  Father, I praise your holy name.  Thank you for your great love extended to me.  In JESUS’ name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
