Forbearing One Another In Love

Ephesians 4-2 4a20d92f31Rage tends to hang-out on highways, in the home, on the job, almost anywhere you can find vestiges of rage.  Rage is a result of the war that is raging within, the spiritual battle going on in one’s life.  Some may call it “having a bad day”, but someone else’s bad day does not have to be your bad day. In truth, you can help them through their bad day.  Paul encourages you to use these five steps to defuse rage and promote unity:  1) Be humble; 2) Be gentle; 3) Be patient; 4) Bear one another’s burden in love; 5) Be diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bonds of peace.  The understood subject is “You”.  You be the peace maker and not the peace breaker.  You be the encourager and not the antagonist.  Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger.  Establish a biblical community, in which each of you can bear one another’s burdens in love.

Prayer for today:  Father, help me to the promoter of biblical communities in love.  In JESUS’ name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
