Complain and Worry or Pray

Worrying Young-man-with-a-headacheExodus 16:2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:

If you are going to complain and worry, don’t pray.  If you pray, don’t complain and worry.  God rained manna (bread) from heaven to satisfy the nation of Israel’s need for food.   Manna in the Hebrew is defined as “a whatever.” You may not need bread, but God is able and willing to give you manna “a whatever” to meet your needs.  When you are going through something it is never a good idea to complain and worry or desire to return to your past.  God is here to protect, comfort and guide you through to the other side of difficulty to a better place in Him.  Instead of complaining and worrying, draw closer to God by searching for scriptures that address your difficulty; pray His word over your difficulty, and thank God for rescuing you even before you come out of the difficulty.  Complaining and worrying are directly opposed to God’s command.  Jesus said, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done”.  Faith requires that you look toward your victory because the difficulty is temporary.  Complain and worry or pray, which will you do?

Prayer for today:  Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times I have complained and worried.  I will pray, stand on your word, praise you and expect “Your” manna to meet my needs.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
