Embracing the Present and Presence of God

psalms-46-1“You can choose to embrace the present. There’s no need to play the “what if” game. The past is forgiven and gone, and the future is in God’s omnipotent hands; you’re free to focus on the present and your job to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Martyred missionary Jim Elliot once wrote, “Wherever you are, be all there.” God wants you in the present, because that’s where his grace will flow”’. – Rick Warren. Embrace God’s presence. He is the safe place to hide, the source of strength and always ready to help when we need him.  Job reminded us that “Man who is born of a woman is few of days and full of trouble.”  But don’t worry.  Don’t be concerned about what it looks like.  God is at work behind the scene.  Instead, “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. (MSG) God promised to never leave or forsake His own.  Trust God for your future and embrace the present and presence of God.

Prayer for today:  Heavenly Father, you are my refuge, strength and always present help.  Thank you for the privilege of embracing your presence.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
