Special Invitation

Psalms 89:15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance. 

The Amplified Bible reads, “Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are the people who know the joyful sound [who understand and appreciate the spiritual blessings symbolized by the feasts]; they walk, O Lord, in the light and favor of Your countenance!” To be invited to a special occasion is an honor. To be invited by the LORD to come to His special feast is the greatest of all honors. He invites the righteous and the just to come and walk before Him. Happy, fortunate, and to be envied are all who receive His special invitation because in His presence is where spiritual blessings and favor are given. Listen for the joyful sound and enter into His presence.

Prayer for today: Father, O the blessing I receive when time is spent in your presence. It makes me love you even more. It’s where my faith, understanding, and appreciation grows as I feast upon your word. Thank you for summoning me. In JESUS name, AMEN.
