Three Important Truths About God

Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

In the time of trouble, there are three important truths that you should remember according to Nahum 1:7. First, the LORD is good. His very nature is good. His plan for you is good. It includes peace, hope, and a blessed present and eternal future. Second, the LORD is a strong hold. He is your refuge, your salvation, your safe-house. You can always run to Him. Unfortunately, when trouble arises, the very last place most people go is to the LORD, when it should be the first place people go. Truly, the only ONE who can provide lasting deliverance and not just a temporary fix is the LORD. Third, the LORD knows them that trust in Him. His x-ray vision sees the state of the heart, whether it is a trusting heart or not. He is able and willing to disarm all your troubles and make you free. But the question is, “Do I know you?” The tragedy in the day of trouble would be if He does not know who you are. Make yourself known to Him. Receive Jesus and go far beyond making Him your Saviour by making Him you LORD as well.

Prayer for today: Father, you are my strong hold, my very present help in time of trouble. I shall put my trust in you and you alone. I want to hear you say, “Well done my good and faithful servant”. In JESUS name, AMEN.
