How to Get Your Breakthrough

breakthrough-imgII Corinthians 8:2 In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity.

Faith is now and hope is future. Overflowing Joy with great (megas) hope abounded to the church at Corinth because of the promises spoken of in the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Corinthians were afflicted with deep poverty. Instead of feeling sorry for themselves, they accepted God’s plan to get themselves out of their poverty-ridden state. First they gave themselves to the LORD. Second, they became cheerful givers. They supported God’s work financially and they joined in to do the work of the ministry. God’s plan includes work and giving. So, how does God’s plan work? 1.) Faith must have a corresponding action. Abraham was justified by works and not by faith only when He offered Isaac, his son upon the altar. 2.) Give to activate God’s plan and get your breakthrough. Jesus who was rich willingly became poor so that we may become rich. He said, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom…” Notice, this grace of God comes through men. If one man fails to listen and obey the unctioning of the Holy Spirit to give, God has another man lined up who will heed the call and give to you. The NLT reads, “…The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” The longer a man procrastinates, the longer it will take for him to get his breakthrough. Let the spirit of generosity spring up and overflow out of you through works and giving. Trust God. His plan works.

Prayer for today: Father, in obedience to you, I have decided to give myself and the resources you have entrusted to me, not reluctantly or under compulsion. Thank you for my breakthrough and making me whole in every area. In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
