Which Side of Him Do You Want to See?

Two SidesII Samuel 22:25 Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.

The ways of the LORD is perfect, without spot or blemish. The word of the LORD has been tried and proven to be the complete truth. He is a protector for all them that trust in Him. David was a man after God’s own heart. Though David made mistakes in his past, he repented and was forgiven. He kept the ways of the LORD and ceased from participating in evil. He did not depart from the LORD’s ordinances and statutes. He was also blameless and kept himself from sinning. Because the LORD delighted in David’s faithful obedience, He rewarded him with His support, protection and sustenance. David proved himself to be upright and clean in the sight of the LORD. The key is that which is considered right and clean in the LORD’s eyes. The LORD has a pleasant side and a not so pleasant side. To the faithful He shows himself faithful, and with the upright and blameless He shows himself upright. To the pure He shows himself pure, but to the stubbornly disobedient and contrary He shows himself unpleasant and contrary. He saves the humble, but the devious and high-minded He will bring down. We, like David, must decide which side of the LORD we want to see: His pleasant side or His not so pleasant side.
