How to Maintain Real Peace

Holy-Spirit-decendingJohn 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Peace is a precious commodity. There are two types of peace mentioned here: Peace that comes from the Prince of Peace and peace that comes from the world. The world’s definition of peace is being absent of conflict, which is a distorted peace. As long as Satan, the prince of this world, is operational in the lives of men, conflict is inevitable. Men make peace treaties with one another. While at the same time, they prepare to go to war because they do not trust each other to keep their word. No matter how much effort is put forth, there is no deep and lasting peace without Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Jesus left us His peace. His peace is the gift of Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit was sent to live in us, to help, teach, defend and comfort us, and to reassure us that there is no need to be afraid, anxious, or troubled in our hearts. His peace is a heart-peace. There is no circumstance or situation too big or too hard for God to handle. Holy Spirit helps us to reprogram our mind so that we may fully experience the peace of God. He teaches us to think about things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and good reports. All of which, are qualities found in the Peace of God. God is totally trustworthy and He promised to keep you in perfect peace as you consistently keep your mind focused on Him. Receive the real peace. Maintain the peace Jesus left for you.

Prayer for today: Father, I receive your peace by the power of Holy Spirit.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.
