Just As He Said!

jesus-is-aliveMatthew 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Early one Sabbath morning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the place where Jesus was laid after He was crucified. When they got there they encountered the angel of the LORD sitting upon the stone which had previously covered the sepulcher. He comforted the women and commanded them to not be afraid of him nor the fact that the stone was rolled away. Then, the angel testified about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He said, “I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: He has risen, as he said. Come see the place where the LORD lay.” No word from God is void of power. Just as Jesus said to the Jews who were looking for a sign of Jesus’ power and authority, “Destroy this temple (meaning His body), and in three days I will raise it up.” Here we see Jesus’ power and authority demonstrated in His bodily resurrection. Equally as important as the testimony of the angel of the LORD and both Marys’ is your testimony. Have you gone to the place where Jesus has risen in you? Will you be as one of them, able to testify that it is just as He said, “Jesus has risen and is yet alive forever more in me”?

Prayer for today: Father, I thank you that Jesus has risen from the dead and the Spirit of the LORD lives in me. In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
