In Part 8, we studied teaching younger women to be keepers at home. We will continue with older women are to teach younger women to be good. Good in the Greek is defined as benefit. The ability to be a benefit, which is to do good, is an anointing from the Holy Spirit. Jesus went about doing good. Teach younger women to do as Jesus did; He is the perfect example of good. A wife was designed to be a good thing, according to Proverbs 18:22. Therefore, teach them to be a benefit to their husbands, children and their world. Teach them to be honorable and trustworthy so that their husbands will trust them. He will have no need of spoil (other women) because he knows that she will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. Teach them to be virtuous, which is to be fit in character, to be competent, and to have worth. The Proverbs 31 woman’s husband said of her, “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” (NLT) In other words, she excelled in what she did because the spirit of excellence was in her. What woman is it that does not desire gold or rubies? Teach them that wise words and godly wisdom are more valuable than gold or rubies. Teach them to be kind and considerate giving a helping hand to the poor and reaching out to the needy. Teach them to be kind and considerate in their own homes. Sometimes there is a tendency to be kind and considerate to everyone except to those in your own home. Teach them to be good and to do good in all things being a benefit and never a detriment. In Part 10, we will continue our study on the practical and spiritual things that older women should impart to younger women, thereby giving us all an opportunity to write or rewrite the pages of our lives.
