Who Builds Your Confidence?

Red SeaWho Builds Your Confidence?

Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Before a potential politician runs for office, he will generally take an unofficial survey to build his confidence and to see who is with him before he launches his campaign.  This is not the case with a believer.  For his confidence is built upon the promises of God.  No survey is needed before launching out into the things of God.   When Israel fled Egypt and came to the Red Sea, the LORD their Creator passed through the waters with them.  Three Hebrew boys were tied up and thrown into a fiery furnace for not obeying the King.  When King Nebuchadnezzar looked into the furnace, instead of three men, he saw four men loose and walking about in the midst of the fire unharmed.  Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego were confident that the God whom they served was able to deliver them from the fiery furnace, and so He did.  Experience with our loving heavenly Father is the greatest confidence builder.  We, whom the LORD have redeemed and called by name, He has also promised to be with us.  Therefore, don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.  Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything you can understand.  His peace will guard your heart and mind as you live in Christ Jesus.  As God was with Moses and the Hebrew boys during perilous time, through Christ Jesus and by the power of Holy Spirit He will be with you through the good and not so good times.  What a confidence builder!  When trouble hits your life, allow Holy Spirit to remind you that the LORD is always with you and everything is already alright!  He is your refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.

Prayer for today:  Father you alone are my confidence builder.  Thank you for sending Holy Spirit to remind me that you are with me always.   In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
