Follow and Find

 Proverbs 21:21 He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.

Followers of Christ are referred to as sheep.  It has been said that sheep are dumb, not so!  In actuality, they are very smart.  Believers (sheep) readily recognize that what may seem right to a man ends in the way of death to the spirit, soul, and body.  Therefore, they steadfastly follow after Christ, the Good Shepherd.  They are able to recognize the Good Shepherd’s voice because they devote quality time getting to know Him.  The more time you spend with Him, the more sensitive your ears become to His voice and the voice of a stranger you will not follow.  The more time you spend with Him, the more you are able to partake of His great love for you.  As you delight yourself in the LORD, He will give you the desires of your heart.  David declared that the LORD is his shepherd and he shall not want for any good thing.  You must also declare that the LORD is your shepherd.  The LORD gives His sheep protection, preservation, and provision.  Set aside that which may seem right to you and follow after the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  Follow after His unfailing love, which He generously loads you up with daily so that you may love Him and love others.  In the process of pursuing Him, you will find life, that abundant God-kind of life, yes even life eternal.  Following Him, you will find virtue and prosperity.  In Him, you will find honor.  Jesus knows His sheep.  Are you in His sheepfold?

Prayer for today:  Father, I am the sheep of your pasture.  In you, I find everything I need and desire according to your word. In JESUS name, AMEN. 

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.
