What Happens When There is Little or No Knowledge? Part 7

Children Group-children-01Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

The lack and rejection of the knowledge of God by Israel led to the following: 1.) Experiencing destruction; 2.) Being cut off from the blessings of God; 3.) Going into captivity; 4.) Toiling without favorable results;   5.) Being thirsty without the ability to quench it. 6.) Being rejected by God. Next, we will look at the seventh thing that happened as a result of Israel’s choices. 7.) God forgot their children. Israel’s lack and rejection of the knowledge of God caused those who were alive and their children to be deprived of the priesthood. God declared that He would cease to give attention to their children. This is a lesson to all mankind. Though God’s lovingkindness is great toward us, the guilty will be punished. However, He will forgive our sins when we ask. But know this beloved, when we fail to repent, our sins will be laid upon our children; the entire family will be affected – even the children in the third and fourth generation. But thank God for Jesus! Because of His shed blood, the generational curses can be broken. Our children do not have to suffer from our sins. “Know therefore, that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.” (Deut. 7:9) Christ Jesus is our High Priest and in Him we have a better covenant, which includes the salvation of God and the grace to God. His grace abounds to all who will receive God by faith in Jesus Christ. Through the knowledge of Him and the obedience to Him, our children will be blessed to a thousand generations. Keep God before your children so that they will not forget Him nor He forget them. Allow the righteous of God to abound in you through Christ Jesus. Choose wisely; choose to know God and to teach your children of His lovingkindness so that they may teach future generations.

Prayer for today: Father, as I hide your word in my heart, increase my knowledge of you. Father, I ask you to always remember my children. Help me, I pray, to position my children and all my future generations of children to know you. In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
