Acceptance is Key

key-bible-versesI Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

There are four things that you must be fully persuaded of concerning Christ:  1.) His purpose for coming into the world is so that the whole world might be saved through faith in Him.  John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.  We should not perish, but the choice to perish or not to perish is up to us, individually.  Christ became the atoning sacrifice for the sin of the whole world, which includes you and me.  So, what is sin?  Sin is rebellion against God.  Sin is indulging oneself in “Doing me.”  Sin is missing God’s mark.  Sin is delusional.  I John 1:8 says, “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves …” Romans 3:23 says, “… all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”.  Simply stated, sin is any thought or action that is contrary to the word of God, which causes one to come short of His glory.  Paul confessed that he was a chief sinner, a prominent leader in the arena of sin.   He was a chief persecutor of Christians.  His pursuit of Christians led to the arrest, trial, conviction, and punishment by imprisonment and or death.  It is an honor to hold a chief position in life.  However to be the chief sinner or even the chief persecutor of Christians are not positions to aspire to.  This is a faithful saying and is worthy of acceptance, Jesus, the Chief Shepherd, is the Saviour of all men, specifically of those that believe.  Trust in the living God; accept Him as the propitiation for your sins; confess rebellious thoughts and deeds and be saved.  The second thing that you must be fully persuaded of concerning Christ is to be continued.

Prayer for today:  Father, I am persuaded that Jesus came to save me.  I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  I confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus; I believe in my heart that God raised him from the dead; I accept that I am saved right now by faith in Jesus Christ.  In JESUS name, AMEN.

Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that.  Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day.

Love
